I wanted to, but didn't have a credit card. Anyway I dump a twenty into the jars at the 7-11 whenever I get the chance...I don't wait for a telethon to give my money away.

I'm 16...so I do. I can't afford to just dump money; I'm saving up for a car and college.

Same here, but I live with a parent so I don't need money for much of anything. I have a job that pays considerably higher than minimum wage, but I don't spend any of the money. Every now and again I tape money under park benches and the like, just for the hell of it. I have no desire to own a vehicle, or do many of the other things people blow money on.

I don't know about that college thing...I don't do well in any sort of school I've found out, despite the fact that I ace every test that doesn't involve math. I think maybe I'll just photoshop myself a degree for something if it ever comes to that.

Also, I'm just waiting for this Tylenol PM stuff to start working, and am watching the x-files in the meantime. It's an oldie- "Gender Bender", 12 years old....damn, that'd make me 10 going on 11. So that's fun.

So which Uni do you go to? I have a BA in Psych from UC Davis.

I got my BS in Psych from York College of Pennsylvania, and am currently working on my MS in Counseling at Pace University in Westchester, NY.

Do you work in the field of Psych?

I was a swim coach, a restaurant manager, an air traffic controller, a census taker, a Safeway checker, and now a Senior Business Analyst. So I guess you can say yes.

Haha, yeah...what's great about psychology is that it's applicable everywhere simply by its nature. I'm supposedly here to become a therapist, but am seriously reconsidering that and thinking about working for women's rights organizations instead...or just go home and work at Barnes & Noble for the rest of my life. oh how I hate times like this

Unfortunately the field doesn't pay too well. But go ahead and try stuff while you're still young. I wish I would have had the funds to continue on and stay in school, but I was kinda forced out into the real world and after getting stuck I went back and got my MBA and now I'm stuck here. I have had the desire to do the non-profit thing, but never had the opportunity.

No it doesn't, and considering the population I want to work with you'd think I'd get better compensation. In theory, the compensation would be fulfillment of doing what I want, but if I already know I will get burned out, is it really worth it? We shall see.

Burnout is almost inevitable in anything, which is why I suggest trying a bunch of things, that way you will be more marketable. Plus you'll grow, and change, and grow some more.

Oh man, tonight's Heroes kicked ass...this show is one of those ones that ends on SUCH a cliffhanger I 'm nuts all week til the next one. I don't think I've been like this about a show since Spider-Man as a kid, except if that hadn't been every night I may have exploded or something.

Is this the first time I'm agreeing with you?

My friend and I came up with a flexible working list of which characters on Heroes correspond to which characters in X-Men. It doesn't completely work as some powers are either not covered, or there are more than one power in an X-Men. Naturally there will be cross-over of powers. I'd go into it, but I know some people haven't seen it yet.

The history channel had a piece on freakshows. I watched that Borat thing on Comedy Central while Ian was fussing, then the Daily Show, then the Colbert Report. I've never watched this much TV
