Save the cheerleader - Save the world.
« on: November 22, 2006, 06:30:04 PM »

I still don't get it.
They promised that we'd understand after Monday's episode.

This show better not turn into another Lost.

It's pretty soap opera-y for me.  I'm giving them another episode or two and if it doesn't start getting interesting I'm out.

I dunno, I think it's a pretty good show, though the tagline may be extraordinarily lame (it reminds me of 'Thou shalt not kill...except', which is not even a complete sentence, and makes me look like a moron at Blockbuster).

Double ditto Demo.

I keep getting the feeling you could watch it for the next six months, if they had new episode every week, and still not have any questions answered.  But we all know in a few more weeks they're going to leave us with a cliff hanger until next season.

What happened to "Surface", by the way?  It seems most of the new shows, or the ones that interest me, are doing this kind of theme.

The show looked pretty lame to me so I never watched it.

Today's show, which I will watch online tomorrow, will make/break this show for me.

Ditto here.  It's supposed to explain some stuff.

I'm fine with the notion of suspense, but the whole incomprehensible plot that never fully gets revealed like the X-Files turned into really pisses me off, and then makes me bored, and then makes me not care.

Demo, when would you say the X-Files jumped the shark?

When we found out Fox Mulder's father wasn't actually dead.  Somewhere around there, I think.

I hope so.  But the title is "Six Months Ago" so I'm not holding my breath.

X-Files had a plot, it involved his sister's abduction and everyone's disbelief.

Everything else, including the conspiracy, was just extra.

Actually, last night's episode wasn't bad.  It was better than I was expecting.

I don't think I'll see TV ever again now.  Being back at work sucks.  I get home, eat dinner, take the dogs on a walk, hang out with Ian so that Sandy can get some well deserved sleep, and then go to bed after his 10pm feeding.

Agreed.

Now we have one more episode before they leave us hanging until next year.   :-o

They sucked me in for at least one more episode.  I didn't think they could do it, but they did.

There's only one more?  Until when?
