Although I often (often, often, practically freakin' always) find him to be irritating, he does at lest try (at times) to be a good member.

If this were HN, I'd be all for banning the sucker, but on this kinder, gentler forum I am inclined to think banning him is a little too extreme.

Maybe just ban him from the Political Opinions board.

Should Imus be fired because of ratings? Points of view? Or things he says? Who decides what's ok to say? I don't like him, either, and have never listened to his show more than five minutes at a time flipping through channels, but I do not think he should be fired for calling a basketcase team "nappy-headed hos". If his revenue drops; then yes, that is a valid reason to terminate his contract. But I'm so sick of hearing people crying "Offended!" every time someone (usually with $$$) says something.

Well I'd fire him if he worked for me and he failed to generate revenue. The fact is, if he pisses people off that translates into money in my pocket (assuming I'm his boss, and thus in a position to fire him).

Ivan, you've expressed more distaste for me lately than everyone else on the forum combined. Now in all honesty, 90% of the time its amusing, but I simply have to ask, would you like to get something off your chest? If so you should probably do it in a meaningless thread such as this.
