email HOLD?? is it possible?

hey, I have never really heard of anything like this but I was wondering if someone new of it...

I'm going out of town for awhile and won't have ANY forms communication so I wanted to set up something where I write an email to my girl and have it send it while i'm gone... like in the middle of the time I'm gone...

WHAT THE HECK?  thanks you guys... no, I am going to the Grand Canyon and won't be able to have one BIT of contact with her for about 2 weeks. and I'm going to miss her. and I want her to know I'm thinking about her.  jeez pervs...no I don't cheat...

I went to the Grand Canyon in 1990.  It was teh lame.  The best part of the whole thing was that I got to say that I ate at the second most expensive McDonald's in the world.  If that's a highlight, you know it sucked.  I did get a Quarter Pounder for $4.25, though.  That was 'exciting'.  At that time, there was 3 places to eat after 6pm in the area.  Two of them were busy as hell and the other was McDonald's.

My son, who was 4 at the time, kept telling everyone that we were going to the "Grand Candy".  He was disappointed when we got there and there was no candy... just a big hole in the ground.

We went to the South Rim.  I can sum up the experience like this:
  • Walk up to the edge and ohh and ahhh at the view
  • Walk a mile
  • Walk up to the edge and see the same thing you saw at the previous spot - difference 3 degrees.
  • Walk a mile
  • Walk up to the edge and see the same thing you saw at the previous spot - difference 3 degrees.
  • Walk a mile
...repeat.

well that does sound like a blast...;p

but if I would not leave my girl for two weeks to do that... no, we're going to be rafting down the river for 10 days...plus a few at the beginning and end... so yeah.. I'm thinking it will be fun.

We went in 2000.  We did the Grand Canyon Railway package.  We also splurged for the most expensive seats in the train in the caboose.  Air conditioning, hors d'ourves, booze, comfy chairs.  Whereas the people in coach had no A/C, no snacks, no booze and the seats were like schoolbus seats.  The hotel was pretty cool, the trainride was fun.  We even had train robbers!  Total camp, but a blast.  At the GC we had lunch and had a bus tour.  The canyon itself was pretty much what Biz said, but our trip was fun because of the train.

yes, we are going to be gone for several travel days beforehand and afterwards... 10 days down the river...90 miles I think?
