I think I might fail a little in the geek category, then. I'm neither good with computers or science, I failed all math classes in school, and while I dabble a bit in theology, history, and other similar types of things, I'm not exactly a walking encyclopedia.

I guess I'm just a generic geek. I like obsessing over.. everything, really, I'm interested in. I read entirely too much. I love anything fantasy and would probably do the LARP thing if it meant I didn't have to deal with lisping, overweight teenage girls who think LARP is as thuper-cool as cosplaying as Inyasha. I dabble a bit in video games.. mostly play World of Warcraft, and will probably go with the flow and play whatever new MMO takes over next.

Not to say I'm not interested in science, computers, history, theology, and everything else- I most certainly am, and very enthusiastic about it all.
I'm just lazy.

If by Cosby-show-fanfic you mean obnoxious, giggling, teenybop girls who live and breathe manga and anime, then yes.

I would have classified myself as a Closet Geek for the longest time.  Hiding my secret shame of being an avid video and table-top RPG gamer.  I loved to play both, and quite frequently I might add, but I hid that fact from many of my non-geek friends.  Now... I'm out of the geek closet and proudly proclaiming myself a geek to the world.  I guess you could classify me as a Born Again Geek!  LOL... I still watch football, play fantasy sports, go to bars and pool halls when I get the occasional chance... but now I openly talk about my geekyness in public.

It feels good to be out of the geek closet... what a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders!

Did you just come out of the cloest on an internet-based forum? If so, I think you just made history.

I'm totally a Spammer:

Comfy in Khaki or Camo.
White Collar by day, Blue Collar by night (and weekends!).

Yes, I've used my Blackberry to google the fishing regulations from my boat to check whether or not my fish was legal to keep.   :-D

Jack of all trades.  Into everything, but not an expert in anything.  Basically I fail a little less than most.
