That's because they didn't hit the scene until the 90s!

Though, the 80s culture didn't end until 1993 or 1994.  That's the way culture rolls.

hehe... no offense, but aren't they about like the New Old Men on The Block?

The oldest "Kid," Jonathan Knight, now a real estate developer, will turn 40 later this year. Since the band's demise, former members Donnie Wahlberg, 38, and Joey McIntyre, 35, have seen acting success, while Danny Wood, 38, has worked as a music producer and Knight's brother, Jordan, 37, has continued to record.

so?  what you're failing to realize here is that, unlike 1988, i am now an adult and can legally marry.  jordan, here i come!
