Is 64 bit that much of a difference yet?

Is 64 bit that much of a difference yet? And are there now many progs that take advantage of the 64 bit archie?
I have a mobo that supports it; but I'm still using regular XP Pro, as I don't have any 64 bit versions of anything.

You can address >4GB memory, that's about it.  So AutoCAD and things like that that have a use for that much memory are badass in a 64bit oS.  Run of the mill 32bit apps supposedly run somewhat faster, but if they do it's not significant.   I wouldn't go out of my way to upgrade.

Cherubim is plural; Genesis 3:24 specifies one flaming sword. Presumably flaming swords were in short supply."

Other than the ability to use more RAM there isn't really a noticable difference in performance...
Don't expect to run the same application on the same hardware and have it seem to run faster, if it does it's just placebo effect.

Personally I use 64bit. But I do alot of work in Photoshop, Maya, and AutoCAD.. so it's sorta nessecary that I use 64bit architechure  :-)

I regret going to 64, as I have some older hw like my scanner, TV tuner, etc that don't have 64bit drivers.

If anything, 64 bit looks like crap.
