He's Asian either way, and more importantly, I[/b] don't get hassled for calling him that. A 10th generation African (and I'm going to use the BLACK Africans for my example, because, as you're aware, I'm sure; not all Africans ARE black) is racially a Negro.

Well, I reject the concept of race. But people should be allowed to call themselves whatever they want to call themselves.

Also, there may be some non-negroid Africans, but all negroid people originated in Africa. So if you're a so-called Negro, you are either descended from Africans or you're some incredible genetic freak.

Also, while some (I think flimsy) case may be made to designate a negroid race based almost entirely, mind you, on melanin levels, the whole concept of race falls apart when you look at so-called Asians, not to mention Arabs, Jews and so-called Whites. Jesus, what a load of bullcrap.

The whole race concept, when you pick it apart, is a load of bullcrap, and needs to be trashed.

However, people will always cling to whatever group identity suits their purposes, and will also categorize other humans in ways that suit their purposes.

You're exactly right; people should be "allowed" to call themselves whatever they like. I do not recall anyone disagreeing with you on that; but given that you seem to want to pick a fight over it; could you please point it out. I think it's serious and should be addressed as well.

Pick a point of view, please. You use the race "so-called" Negro to "prove" to me that all "so-called" Negroes, in fact, ARE from Africa (to convince me I assume? I'm sorry, but you're a bit late for that. I learned that a long time ago) or are "some incredible genetic freak"; then turn around and proclaim the entire thing to be a "load of bullcrap" - twice. ANd needs to be trashed.
