Another Newbie
« on: January 04, 2010, 04:02:47 PM »

Hello Everyone,

I'm Michelle and I am 20 years old.

I grew up kind of a girly girl. I was a dancer (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern) Until I blew out my knee during high school. So loosing my "true passion", led me on a long path of learning who I am behind the dancer. A borderline geek.

-I love to read (mostly mythology and folklore)
-My new favourite hobby is making some of the nosehair clippers from Make: Magazine
-Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my favourite game ever.
-I enjoy Diggnation
-I fall asleep every night listening to Twit.Tv
-I am a huge fan of the original Wonder Woman comics.
-Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z are my guilty pleasures.
-I am currently toying with the idea of going to school for graphic and web design.

I am living in Dallas, Tx. I am currently working as a Nanny while I figure out what I want to do with my life. It's a pretty decent job and I make enough to live by myself in a decent sized apartment, so that's nice. But I am looking for something more creative as a career. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I am an open book.

I'm starting to question the term "blow out". I don't think it's an accurate medical term. If taken literally, it paints a gruesome picture. Someone who has blown out her knee would, by my understanding of how things blow out, no longer have a knee left. I don't want to think of you as being kneeless. In fact, I bet you have a very nice knee, despite it not allowing you to stand on point.

I guess I have never really thought of it that way. However, when your knee cap pops out of socket I feel like the term "blow out" fits.

I don't think one can truly claim knowledge of a "blown out" knee unless they know what a Belfast Six Pack is.

Anyway, welcome. I'm glad you've narrowly avoided the peg leg. I've always found those with anachronistic prosthetics to be of wooden personality. Relationships in those cases are brief, tending to splinter.

Don't think I caught from whither you hail. From whither do you hail?

I never said that I avoided the peg leg. In fact, lets just say that I do have one. It's the perfect place to keep my sticky notes, The best Bulletin board around.
