National Geographic/Discovery Series - Life
« on: March 24, 2010, 06:52:44 PM »

Dear Oprah,

Please stop talking to me like I'm five years old.

Kthxbye
BizB

Dear Mike Rowe

Please re-dub the Life series and do the narration.  You can post it on the interweb and make lots of money.

Kthxbye

I have not seen this yet and am likely not to, since Oprah is apparently doing the voice-over.

I missed the first one and was going to try and catch the next but now I'm not so sure.

I don't care much for Oprah; I just cannot STAND being talked "down" to like a child. So I'll probably skip it. Oh wait - I dont have TV anyway.

I'm pretty sure Mrs. Sixpack recorded this just because Oprah is narrating.

Please, not even Jesus comes close to narrating like David Attenborough.

You've never heard of Jesus?

Have you been living under a rock?

The series that Sigourney Weavery narrated (Blue Planet maybe?) was excellent.  Any time I come across a rerun of it I get sucked in and end up watching again.

Planet Earth.
Blue Planet was a similar one a few years earlier. They actually showed that one in IMAX.

Also originally narrated by David Attenborough. I don't know why they change it. He is ace, you can hear the wonder in his voice.
