For the first time possibly ever, I've used a real picture of myself as an avatar here. SO THERE.

Comfy.

Love reading it, love saying it, love spelling it.

For the record, my least favourite word right now is 'favourite'.  :x

I like all of you, so you may be saved until last.

I, for one, welcome our new Wunderkind overlord.

Sometimes I respond to or send texts when I'm not fully awake. The results can be hilarious (at least to me) the next morning.

Hey, there. I had a name at that place. Something about squirrels.

Welcome!

I found some great IPv6 YouTube tutorials that could help people get a handle on this newfandangled way of doing things. I've been running through them and they are pretty easy to follow if you have some background on basic IPv4 networking concepts.

Part one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rljkNMySmuM

If you are looking for a specific part (there are 7 as far as I know), you can search "ipv6-0x" on YouTube where x is 1-7.
Pretty interesting protocol if you ask me.

Captain and OJ

1 oz Captain Morgan
5 oz (or whatever) orange juice

Just heard of this one. I thought it would taste terrible but it's actually amazing and has an Orange Julius-type flavor.

Week 13 17.5lb lost

10% of my body weight and over half way to my goal! :)

Nice! Keep it up!

178.0 lb     Week 7 - 1/2 of 8 : 6.0 lb

Total Loss : 35.8 lb

Update time. OK, five months later I'm at 180.0 lb, so +2 lb. I've been lifting a good deal, however, so I'm still on the wagon. Just wanted to get this in writing before the end of this week. Pumpkin pie is going to ruin me.

. . . it makes you smart enough to do your job . . .

If you're lucky.

Although I'm not so sure a degree makes anyone smart enough to do any job. It just makes you look like you can learn it.

Also, what the hell is up with Dr. Pepper's new campaign, "It's not for women." Are they trying to loose half of their customer base?

Speaking as a former fraternity member, I think it's a frat-boy thing. Not sure how that's going to work out. Especially when these new "flavors" of soda rarely last longer than a month or two.

I think people will remember that one time Dr. Pepper decided to (ahem) lose (/ahem) half their customers instead of remembering the new flavor itself which by that time will probably not even be available anymore.

Well, that's enough internet for today.

Either way, seems pretty one-sided.

I got an HP with a Webcam.

* Novice checks . .

Yep, still works. I'm assuming your camera has a weird HP application (mine is called "CyberLink YouCam") which runs the thing. What happens when you bring up the application?

When dealing with Windows, a system recovery is always a good option before you wait too long after the failure.

Do webcams have drivers?

You need to upgrade your browser to IE7.

Anarchy / Re: What American accent do you have?
« on: October 25, 2011, 12:19:22 PM »
Your Result: The West
Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech.  Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent.  And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.
Result Breakdown:
96% The West
95% The Midland

This.
