The "hacker" strapping-on the Nintendo PowerGlove was pretty awesome.

Mundane, eh? Last night, my dream was that myself and my manager were visiting friends of his who happened to all be in their 80's. We sat around their tiny apartment and drank water and talked. They used frozen sponges as ice cubes.

I specifically remember waking up in the middle of the night and taking some time to think of a new scenario so I wouldn't go back to dreaming about sitting on a couch drinking sponge-water talking about NOTHING!

Personally, I think your instructor would be impressed if you focused on security, one of the biggest concerns about technology in general nowadays. Of course, if time constraints mean you are only able to get it functional, I can understand. I do suggest you mention it in your future goals / next steps.

It's funny, the article says you should just ask someone if they're a narcissist. Yet here's a 40-question quiz where all the questions are essentially:
1-40. Pick the best answer:
a. I am a narcissist
b. I am not a narcissist

I would also consider going with Jesus' food replication power.

What B-list, recession-level super powers would you choose given you had the choice? No flying or invisibility, but frugal and practical super powers like...

The Nap Ability -  At the snap of my fingers I can be asleep for any length of time between 10 and 30 minutes regardless of how sunny or bird-chirpy it is outside.

Last night my name was AJ. I lived in a colony travelling through deep space, though we were docked at an earth-like planet at the time.

Mainly I spent the dream trying to get a blonde to pay attention to me. I was doing well and finally got a date! When the time came, I decided I would play video games instead. Needless to say, she was not happy. She took a vote of the colony and 500,000 people voted me an asshole.

What the hell, AJ?

I've yet to understand why my brain sabotages my attempts at dream make-outs.

Quote from: quiz
Montanism

You are Montanism!

Named after its founder, the second-century preacher Montanus, Montanism was a Christian movement which based its teachings upon special prophetic revelations granted to Montanus himself, along with his companions Prisca and Maximilla. Although the exact tenets taught by the three erstwhile prophets are unclear, Montanists were known for their strict disciplinary standards, which forbade remarriage after the death of a spouse and required strict fasting. Although Montanus's prophecies initially seemed to be compatible with mainstream Christian doctrine, Montanists eventually formed a separate sect which granted doctrinal authority to the writings of the three prophets. The most famous Montanist was Tertullian, a prominent African theologian, who became convinced in later life that the prophecies of Montanus were genuine; Montanists are therefore sometimes referred to in later writings as "Tertullianists."

Strict disciplinary standard? This one sucks.

My ex-girlfriend and I were in a magnificently-appointed and enormous mansion - almost reminded me of a castle out of an "Amnesia" game, though slightly less dark and scary. The reason we were there was somewhat of a mystery but she wanted to play some kind of game - the details are fuzzy on what exactly the rules were. Either way, I didn't mind because we were hanging out and I was enjoying myself.

We walked through the mansion and eventually down a large flight of stairs into a wide-open, finished basement area filled with white pillars. Looking around, I noticed several friendly dogs running around and generally playing about. My ex began chasing one while I watched.. Eventually, I saw her run behind a pillar in the distance and disappear.

After running around looking for her for some time, I noticed that the stairs that brought me to the basement were gone; I was trapped. Wandering around, I noticed other people who were no help and just kept asking me strange questions like "where is my plastic?"

I was stuck in the room for days (in dream years). My ex would appear randomly, 7-foot tall and dressed like a medieval queen. She would walk around with a malevolent smile for a while not saying anything and then disappear. I never was sure if it was really her as I couldn't believe she was capable of trapping me here.
As far as I can remember, I stayed in this room until I woke up - trapped in my own mind!

I'd either be dead or have no life, I'm not sure. Maybe just blind, deaf, and dumb.

I spend evenings finding activities that take away all the anxieties I have about things I need to do at my job - That'll keep ya busy.
I also add "fucking" in front of innocuous search terms in Google and read angry forum entries like "fucking property tax" or "fucking Homoerotic A-Team Fanfiction".

I clicked Jupiter's red spot is mysteriously shrinking and found out that apparently it's more of a mystery what's been keeping the storm going this whole time.

Aside from the blog, I've been interested in something a bit more mainstream (simply because of IBM's advertising) which was "atomic level" storage:
http://www.gizmag.com/go/7920/

I'm curious about the marketing aspect, but mainly my life would be so much easier if storage admins just had more space and didn't have to hassle me all the time with their made-up math about why they should have more available space than they do.
