What's Pb gonna be this year??? How about the rest of you? I tossed around a few ideas and as it turns up, I think Phyre's going to be a pirate. Enrique is being a ninja. And I'm being.....a robot. Maybe we'll fight and settle it once and for all. Anyone have any ideas of how I'm going to drink beer with a robot head on my real head?

Lord of the Rings or Lord of the Flies Be specific in your answer if you're refering to storyline, characters, movie, book, (edit: them if they were superheros), author, or what.

I hope you guys can help me out with this. I'm clueless.
I have a roommate moving in at the end of the week. She has a computer (but I'm not quite sure what kind of modem, etc she has). I just signed up for cable internet. What do I have to do to get us both hooked up? It's not as easy as splitting the cable and getting a modem, is it?
CAUSE THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!

What the fuck?
The clock is wrong on my computer. So I fix it to "work time" so that I'm not late or early for giving the receptionist her breaks.
A few hours later, it's wrong again. What's that all about? I've changed it 3 times in the past two days and it keeps speeding up about 7 minutes.

It is for me anyway. There's just a handful of sites I can get to.
Thing that pisses me off is that I got some kind of great score on Simon (on Cat's site) that would have won me the trophy, but I doubt it registered.

Anyone else having trouble with geekforum.org? I was told I needed a plugin for it all of a sudden and without thinking I said yes and now all I get is this. But if I go to http://www.geekforum.org/index.php, then I get the regular forum and everything is fine. Weird.

Yeah, so they're still not making it on DVD...not for us anyway. But if you enter your email on amazon here, apparently they'll tell the studio that we're fucking waiting for it. If you scroll down on the page, a dude says that region 0 is available and will play in our DVD players. I'm gonna look around on that.

Uh...yeah. Why locked? I was going to unlock it to post there, but I'm not gonna flex my mod muscles to do that, and others may have an opinion as well.
I see nothing wrong with a random thread. We have one over at BC and it's stickied. So that if, like Abomination said, you have something you want to post, but don't feel like it warrants it's own thread, you can stick it in there.
I'd rather read that sort of stuff than what everybody's listening to or wearing every day. But that's just my opinion. Different people are...uh...different.
Ok I'm done.

What the fuck is up with gmail anyway? It is so insanely fricking slow. I'm waiting 5 minutes just to view a stinking message. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just me because I have a gazillion ms paint drawings sitting in my inbox?
It's pissing me off.
Bad.

I do too many stupid things. I think I'll catelog them here
I got a package yesterday in the mail. So I grabbed the leatherman tool, whipped out the knife and hacked into it.
But I was facing the knife the wrong way, so the flat part cut the tape...and the blade part just dug into my finger. Ouch!
Wow, that bled alot.
Don't worry. I'm ok.

Robot FrankThis is an oldie but a goodie. We were talking about it in the chat on Friday and I found out that Demo had never heard of this comedic genius, Robot Frank. So there's the link. It's a shame. It looks like he hasn't kept up with it very well. I'm thinking about not being a pirate this year for Halloween, but instead picking up on building my Robot Bernadette costume that I started four years ago. Then I can finally join Robot Frank's evil robot army and enjoy infinite prosperity. That would rule!

So they upgraded me to XP the other day at work. I had to reinstall Winamp. I think I got Full 5.09. Anyway, I loaded my trusty playlist, but it will only play the songs that I ripped from CD's. All the other songs don't play AND this pops up in a new window.... for every fricking song. What? What do I gotta do? Stupid XP.

This is miserable. The receptionist is out this week, and the chick that's filling in has this computer linked remotely to her computer in the back. That's fine and all, but this is the only forum that won't immediately drop my cookies. Ugh. I hate looking at forums like this.
All week.
But there is good news. I bought $21 worth of scratch off tickets yesterday and won $22 on the first one. Then I won another 2 bucks today on the second one.
I saved. I thought that meant something to you.

My computer has super memory or something. When I start typing anything into a field (like Google or Username/password fields), everything I've ever typed in that field comes up in a dropdown box. How do I clear that?
My big problem is that on a few occassions, I've typed my username and tabbed down to password and typed it before realizing that the tab didn't work. So it's got my username followed by my password in the username field. I need to clear that.

If this was already posted somewhere and I missed it, I apologize. Americans for Fair TaxationA friend of mine shared this with me last weekend. Demo, are you involved with this in any way? Edit: The FairTax is a voluntary “consumption" tax: the more you buy, the more you pay in taxes, the less you buy, the less you pay in taxes.
Voluntary is a key word there. Do you think it will really work? I mean, will people voluntarily give out more money? I also saw a petition on the site. E-petitions don't work, do they?

Some asshole bought 3 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies and brought them in my office! Jerk. This is after those little bitches got me in front of Lowes and I bought a box. I'm trying to watch what I eat! Anyway, so what's you're favourite kind!? They're all so good. (I got the varieties from this site in case you're not sure which ones they are.)

Hey Demo! Give us our fucking flag back!! For those of you keeping score, the dispute between Virginia and Minnesota over who gets a Civil War flag captured at Gettysburg has now lasted six years.
The Civil War lasted four.
Virginia's attempt to get back the flag with Confederate bars and stripes continued last week. Sen. George Allen, R-Va., and Rep. Robert W. Goodlatte, R-6th, complained to the feds again - and this time Virginia Attorney General Jerry W. Kilgore joined them.
