You'll want to send PM to this guy... he knows all about that kind of stuff.  You could say he's the resident expert.

I'm pretty busy with work. We just launched a new website where employees can do transactions (request leave, change adress, setup emergency contacts, look at leave and training calendars, fill out an employement equity decleration and so on. Managers can approve leave on line as well). So I had been traveling for the last 3 weeks to train all staff (about 700 people). 60% of the employees and 40% of the managers showed up.

Now that the system is in place, we are sending all the paper forms back and advising people to use the new on-line system. They all want me to come back and do more training because the idiots didn't show up in the first place.   That means I'm going to have to travel for another week. Fuck!

Well at least I have a good topic for a rant article!

Oh that's frustrating.  I usually skip training sessions because it's a waste of time where I could be just learning it hands on by figuring it out.

I'm sure yours isn't a waste of time though.

I disagree.... approximately 75% of all training time attended is garbage.... if only they'd just teach the important, core stuff, life would be that much easier.  Sorry, Judge, but i'd have to believe, although i may be wrong, that that applies to you, as well.

I just go to training sessions because i get paid hourly, and, well, they usually tag on an extra 3 to 5 hours on my paycheck.... (I know, i'm a corporate whore...)
