"Well, it was hard for star Wars to pick of where they left off when you consider it was a prequel."

Yes of course, I didn't mean it literally.  Just in terms of the feeling of the movie.

Forget I made the anology.  I'm just saying I liked the new Superman and was pleasantly surprised.

"Pleasantly surprised " that Superman is as good as it is and that it fits so well with the first two movies.

Taken from my Blog on 6/28/06:

Quote
Saw an early screening of Superman Returns last night.  This flick was definitly worth the wait.  I admit that I had concerns about Brandon Routh trying to fill Chris Reeves' shoes, but I was pleasantly surprised.  Every detail was meticulously laid bare before the audience under the watchfull eye of comic nerd/second messiah Bryan Singer.  The flick plays just like a good comic film should; it has a great plot without giving you all the info on a platter, it lays down the mythos for the origin without wasting time on a protracted origin story, and it plants some great seeds for rebooting the franchise.  I can only pray the WB doesn't utterly destroy the series the way Fox did the X-Men franchise with X3.  Damn right I'm still bitter about that one!  So go throw down the $10 to see the movie in theatres and have a great ride!

As do I, but I often find that if a man's sense of humor or personality attracts me, I become attracted to him physically.

Thus, Kevin Spacey is HAWT.

I just plain dislike Superman...my favourite comic for the longest time was DKR because he gets his super-ass handed to him by Batman at the end.

Now my favourite is Dark Knight Strikes Again because he gets his super-ass handed to him by the Flash, Atom, Green Arrow, and THEN Batman.
