He got whiny and angsty after he left for parts unknown.  If he came back I'd punch him in the mouth for being such a boring pain in the ass.

Have you actually read "Speaker For The Dead"?  Or that dull pile of crap that came after it?  "Xenocide", I believe it was called.

Don't take my word for it.  Both books are widely loved by many.  That is just my opinion.

I read "Ender's Game" and was expecting more of the same stylings... but instead of interesting characters and a fast-paced, suspenseful storyline, I got angsty, drawn out drama about shit I didn't really find interesting.

Read them for yourself before you make that determination.  But read "Ender's Game" first.


The new books that Card wrote in the series are much more what I was expecting.  "Ender's Shadow", "Shadow of the Hegemon" and "Shadow Puppets" are excellent reads, nearly impossible to put down.
