Babel
« on: August 31, 2008, 10:04:37 AM »

I saw Babel last night.

1.  If you wanted someone that looked like Benicio Del Toro in your movie, why not hire...oh, I don't know, Benicio Del Toro???

2.  What was the point of this movie?  It had to be more than communication.  The only other common theme I saw was "really bad decision making".

Can anyone tell me why this movie was good?

That question does not compute. It wasn't good.

I think that movie won "Most Pretentious".

While on the subject:

Another movie that was border line "bad" and "Weird Tingly Feeling" was Hamlet 2.

When I walked in the theater, I saw a guy in the projecter room looking around to see if he needed to show the film. I swear I saw a look of dismay on his eyes when I walked in.

That's happened to me once before in Goldmember.

EDIT: Do I smell a 'Bad Movies' thread?
