Introduction time!
I've been looking for a forum to hang out and kill some time in. After browsing through this one a bit you guys seem like a decent bunch, so I thought I'd test the waters.

About me, in fun-size chunks:
  • I'm a computer programmer by trade and by hobby. ...Yes, I should probably get other hobbies.
  • The username has nothing to do with this dude; nor does it rhyme with a bodily orifice. Just to set that straight up front.  :-D
  • I'm a geek of several dimensions: sci-fi, music, comics, games, electronics, food, and probably others I haven't found yet.
  • I think Douglas Adams was a genius.
  • I'm a bit of a polymath, in a time where that hurts more than it helps.
  • I've found that if you can't stand "Buckaroo Banzai and His Adventures Across the Eight Dimension," we probably don't have very similar tastes in movies.
  • I play guitar. Mostly acoustic, although lately I've been adulterated by the plastic variety that know how to talk to my Wii.
  • If I ever say something weird, there's a 42% chance that I'm quoting Futurama. The other 58% is just me. I make no excuses.
  • If you did enough Wikipedia-diving to figure out how my username could possibly be related to Dwight York after clicking that first link, then it's possible that you are just about as easily distracted as I am.

Welcome :)
I'm new too, and really didn't want to dedicate a thread to myself. My ego isn't that big.
I jest :P

I don't have as many qualifications as you do, but I think I do pretty good for a female my age.

I hope we both enjoy it here.
