I decided it was time to get a new backbone for my network operations, and hit up ebay for this here 16 port 10/100 switch for about 70 dollars. Not to bad, considdering I never heard of the brand "TRENDnet" before in my life.

Note in this picture what it says on the box... "Compatiable with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP". Uh oh, looks like you're shit out of luck if you use Linux.

Nice!  Sucks about the lack of Linux compatability though.

I was being sarcastic when I said that before, Jay. :P It'll work with Linux. It's kinda like why they put "Windows XP Ready" on hard drive boxes and stuff, it just gets computer illeterate people to buy them just because it says that.

Gotta start beating this info into ya, Jay. I'd do it myself, but I'm not residing anywhere NEAR you.

Oh well. A good kick in the ass'll fix it!
