Those are very cool pics. I'm a little surprised they have left that mosaic out in the elements though. You would think it would have been removed to a museum or something.

Yeah, theres also trash all over and a bunch of other mosaics that aren't covered. I don't blame anyone even though it could be remedied, it's hard to point fingers on such things with up to 40% unemployment in said country.

I remember when I was wee lad and was over in Greece/Turkey there wasn't much trash laying around sites like the Parthenon (http://academic.reed.edu/humanities/110Tech/Parthenon.html) and Ephesus (http://www.sailturkey.com/panoramas/ephesus/).
The problem with going to those places when you're a snot nosed teenager is that while it's cool and interesting stuff, you can't show it because your parents are right there and you wouldn't want them thinking you were actually interested in something other than comics and video games.
