In a beautiful twist of fate, it turns out that Bush authorized Libby to leak the stuff he did. And, the White House isn't going to contest the allegation. Rather, they're going to say that when the president authorizes sharing of classified information, said information is effectively declassified. Let's not forget, that this is the same man who called a newspaper 'treasonous' for recently printing a story built on leaked information. Fucking hypocrite!

It's gotten to the point now where nothing he can do suprises me. It could turn out that the tin foil hatters were right and he planned 9 11 and it still wouldn't shock me. I'm just waiting for the midterms when the Republican party gets it ass handed to them. I'm predicting the Democrats will hold power in congress for another 20-40 years again.
What the hell happened to the Republican party anyways? You get your first taste of power in a very long time and you flush is completely down the toilet.

I wish I knew.
It will really blow if the Dems get control in the Legislative branch again - but only because they will have done it on the platform of, "We're not those idiots!"
Other than that, I welcome stalemate in DC. The only good government is a crippled government.

We usually have a Libertarian running for each office. Sadly the unwashed masses here still think there are only two parties.

Speaking of the Bush leak, Palast has an interesting take on it (http://www.buzzflash.com/contributors/06/04/con06129.html)
