Just found out. Heath Ledger died today at the age of 28.
For more (but not that much more):

I wish I could quit you.
-
Ahhhh, I knew that was coming.
It's kind of bizarre. He's only 28. Apparently the police think it's drunk related, but I didn't really think he was into that. I guess you never know. It is going to be weird watching Batman this summer.
-
Couldn't help it.
-
Ping Ping is all upset over this.

No doubt. I still can't believe it, that's really surprising.
-
On tv someone mentioned that sleeping pills were found near his body, and that it might be a suicide. Who schedules a massage and then commits suicide? Anyway...it's just not right. I understand that everyone dies, but it's just too soon.
-
Maybe he hated massages.
-
Or loved sleeping.
-
Reminds me of that joke about the lion who walked into the bar.

1 more Aussie down 22 million of us to go ^-^

See you in gay cowboy heaven, partner.
I mean... uh...
I will *hear* about you - or talk to you on the phone - from REAL heaven.
That's it.
-
I was just thinking how good The Dark Knight looked.
-
Newsflash!
Heath Ledger is still dead.
-
personally, i care a little more that brad renfro's dead. granted, not much more.
-
Fred Phelps has another funeral to visit.
-
Not to spawn another discussion on Kansas, and I am not sure if you already knew this, but I just heard on the local news channel that they actually plan to be at the memorial service because Ledger played a gay character.
-
Yeah, I caught that too. I can't believe it.
-
Hence why I made the comment:
"In a news release from the church, Shirley Phelps-Roper says that she and other members will picket Ledger's memorial services in the United States, not those held in his native Australia.
"You cannot live in defiance of God," she said. "He got on that big screen with a big, fat message: God is a liar and it's OK to be gay."

Cults are scary.

Apparently it was suicide caused by the stress of portraying the joker in the new film...
-
Do you have any basis for that?
Not to be an ass-hole, I'm just curious. It's true he was having issues sleeping while portraying the character, but I don't see an actor taking their own life over a role in a movie no matter how "dark" the character is meant to be. I hate to be another speculator and I am sure the truth will eventually come out. I don't think that if it turns out to be drug abuse, people should focus on his role in the movie. People who overdose on perscription drugs have usually been abusing them for some time.

Doubtful, though Novice is right about the having trouble sleeping bit. Generally, people who plan to suicide aren't big on the planning. That is, of things outside of suicide methodology. I won't pretend to be an expert, but it just doesn't sound like suicide. He apparently told a friend of his to call him to make sure he got up that morning, and had planned for a massage later that day.
That aside, I want to wait for the M.E. report.
-
I think you care about this way too much.
-
No, no-no-no, he's outside... Looking in.
-
Too soon?
-
Nope.
-
Why would he be stressed out about playing the Joker if all of his scenes are already filmed?
-
Maybe the ghost of Ceasar Romero was haunting him. Assuming that is that Ceasar Romero has already died, that is.

Maybe it was Keyser Söze......
-
most sources are saying it was an accidental overdose of Ambien
