Title: A new era
Post by: BizB on January 20, 2009, 07:10:04 PM
Well, now that Obama is our new president, I wanted to keep a collection of things that I've noticed as different or changed in this new era.  So far, I have found the following:

People literally stopped using 'literally' incorrectly at 12:07pm, today.
So far, irrespective of what you might believe, 'irregardless' is ok to use.

What have you noticed?

Global warming has ended. After a record-setting warm week here in SoCal, today we're down to normal almost-as-warm-but-a-little-cooler-than-last-week temperatures. Glaciation may now resume.

"Teh Big O".

:-(  Somehow that phrase has been tainted now... and not the good 'taint'...

I wanted to clean my pistols this morning, but they've been turned to candy canes.

I'll just wait for the heavily consolidated media to tell me what to think about this new era.

So why is everyone fucking with MY contribution? I figured everyone would say "yay".

 Fine then.

From now on, there'll be so much fuckin spam; you'll have to connect to your webmail and start downloading when you wake up so it'll all be finished by bedtime.

and a full two-thirds will be old, still circulating Obama Campaign ads.  :x

LOL! As opposed to . . . ?  Naturally separated? Court-ordered separated? Explosively separated? Vehicularly separated?

 * I know it says that (mechanically separated) on the can...*

As of 9:53am today, migraines are no longer headaches, but a new and scientific word for a rainbow that bleeds "shines" out of your nose.

I like bacon, but a lot of them there intarweb people take it to ridiculous extremes, like the spirit described in that link.

StumbleUpon delivers me tons of pages like that.  Bacon vodka, bacon chocolate, bacon bacon....it's crazy.  They're all accompanied by variations on, "LOL bacon is teh ultimate f00d! LMAO."  It seems to be one of the new cultural things (pirates vs. ninjas, Mentos and Diet Coke, etc) that isn't that amusing, but won't go away.  It bugs me.

Don't mind me.  I'm cranky.

The pig was actually scared of mud, so her owners gave her wellies.  Link (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1025428/Pig-Boots-The-worlds-porker-afraid-mud.html)

I've noticed that now we have a, ahem, darker-than-myself president of these United States.  When the hell did that happen?
