Entertainment / Re: Family Guy< Venture Brothers!

It took a really long time for me to warm up to Family Guy. At the time I started watching it, I was obsessed with Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, which were bumped in time due to Family Guy joining the Adult Swim line-up. I was bitter about that because SGC2C and ATHF are obviously way funnier than Family Guy and a girl with a job just can't stay up that late.

But I have to say, Family Guy totally grew on me. Stewie is my hero. I only watched a few of the early VB episodes and it was tarded. I wish Sealab 2021 and SGC2C were still on though, they were right up there with ATHF.

Would you prefer a Democrat that would leave Iraq in defeat for political gain?

I'm not sure what you mean by "defeat" since by definition of the Iraq war, we really aren't there to "win" or "lose" because what exactly are we gaining over there if we "win"? But yes, I'd definitely rather have a democrat in office. I don't expect someone to pull out willy-nilly. But it's time to start taking the steps to get us out of there. I'm tired of spending my money on a needless, senseless war.

All I have to say is simply, I agree with this statement by Professor Chin whole heartedly.

While I disagree with the idea that he is not a "natural born citizen" since his parents were in the military and therefore, he SHOULD be considered a natural born citizen no matter what military base he was born on... I don't think it's preposterous at all. If we change the constitution to suit McCain, we are on a slippery slope. You never know, you might wake up one day and find Arnold Schwarzennager (sp?) president of the U.S. and that scares the shit out of me. Even moreso than having another republican in office who supports the war.

Should he know how to use one? Probably, I suppose. Is it detrimental to a presidency? Probably not. There are lots of other, more valid reasons not to vote for McCain. I'm sure a president has loads of technology advisors equipped to handle any technology-driven requirements of the job. However I do think the poster who brought up that he cannot relate to our generation made a good point. But again, so many other reasons not to vote for the man, not sure this one rates that high.

Are you a girl?

Yes, I do have girly bits. Hence the name. Is that uncommon here?

I am new, thought I would say hello. I'm not a hacker, or any ultra-cool geek, I go to school for IT and plan to work in it some day. Thought I would come here and hang out if that's okay? Get to know some people with similar interests. I'll try to punctuate properly and use capital letters.

Anything else you'd like to know, just ask!
