CONCLUSIVE PROOF!! ;)

Here in the States, we've never heard of a PSU. It's called a "power supply". A UPS is an Uniterruptible Power Supply, which I pronounce as "battery backup". Call me crazy.

You're crazy ;)
(But thanks for clearing that up)

Also, I pronounce URL as "address".

Yeah, same most of the time, but when it needs to be reffered to as a "URL" (In college for example) I don't think I've ever called them "erlz" =P

Ess-cue-el, all the time.

Ditto you-are-el, gee-you-aye and pee-ess-you (Only ever heard a PC's powerbox reffered to as a PSU (Power Supply Unit), not UPS(?))

In the interests of fairness, wouldn't it be better not to post up the password at all?

I'll be in Vegas checking out the slut machines.

Don't you mean... no, probably not =P

That' pretty shrewd, but I guess it makes good business sense...

Unless highschool maths fails me, 8 + 4 + 2 + 3 + 10 = 27 - not 20, so who's been cheating? =P

(Oh no!  Now you all know what way I voted!  My secret love of chocolate ice cream is loose!!)

It's an old sketch from Harry Enfield and Chums, a kickass British show.

It's all gold, so if you're in need of a chuckle, look it up on YouTube. =)

My bookshelf is stuffed to breaking point with quallity literiture!

Kevin Smith - Silent Bob Speaks
Ctrl+Alt+Del - Insert Coin
Ctrl+Alt+Del - Press Start
Alan Moore / David Lloyd - V For Vendetta (The graphic novel)

And by stuffed, quallity and literiture, I mean... =P

That is total bullshit BDC, it flys in the face of logic...

As it's been noted, you are most likely of more value to the company than the recruits.  Hell, since you're retail, it's probably gonna be you long-termers training these new guys, how does it make sense for the student to make more than the teacher?

Look into it first, but you're probably within your rights to complain further up the chain.

Villkommen.  Good thing you have > 1.7 gigs of RAM, or you'd have been lynched...

146
Gin? Blergh!

The alcohol content is the only factor that differentiates gin from sucking a lemon... =P

If you want something that looks like a Word document, but wont open, just get any file (A zip full of crap, if you want it to look long) and change the extension to '.doc'

I don't see how this will help you pass an exam though?

148
Haha, I ment in case there were matching results, but thanks, I'd never heard of Scroogle.

QFM, it would seem, does not hold water in this instance. *Phew*

(This is probably about the time chaners would invoke Rule-34 =P)

« on: April 23, 2007, 02:22:36 AM »
I've just started John Ringo's There Will be Dragons.  The friend who loaned me the book ensures me it has little to do with dragons. =P

Finished off Ian M. Banks' Consider Phlebas a few weeks ago.  Without giving anything away, I was a little dissapointed in the abruptness of the ending.  If you haven't read it and decide to one day, do note that there's a heavy appendix at the back of the book which is slightly misleading as to how much story is left.

And though barely a quarter through "The Kollian Wars" which I started last year at some point as a sequal to "Abandoned," I've just started writing a completely new story titled "The Setting Sun."  I know this is about reading, not writing, but I'm psyched about the new story, so I thought I'd bring it up. =P

I'm almost afraid to Google "comunal anal stretching" to check the validity of the theory =P
