I also knocked off a couple of graphic novels, not sure if I should include those or not.

No, I have never seen Farscape. It is becoming increasingly evident that I should. Maybe a Netflix spree. Then I'll watch ep200 again.

Farscape is very worth it ivan.  The only problem is that it's something like 2 episodes per disc.

Great job Biz!

I started running a few years ago to exercise the dogs and lose weight.  I haven't run any races yet but I alternate long hard runs and short not-so-hard runs during the week.  Just a couple of weeks ago I went up to two 3 mile runs a week.  My best 3 mile time is 23:41 but right now in the cold I'm running in the 25's (very high 25 to be perfectly honest).  My best 2 mile is 16:03.

The wife is thinking about picking a 5k coming up and training for it.  After reading your experiences I'll have to push her some more.

Congrats again.

Anarchy / Who wouldn't want to take this course
« on: October 30, 2008, 05:31:29 PM »
I found this  when looking for a War and Peace by Dostoyevsky Imperium 2 tech tree for our monthly board game Sunday.

How cool would it be to take a course like that.  I mean extra credit it to attend a game con.

Why can't they offer courses like that at my school dammit.

Anyway I know there are a couple of other board game geeks and thought I'd share.

Edit:  I just noticed that this class has a lab every week and the lab is playing a game or two.... that beats physics 3 labs.

a test page might have worked, but I think this was on Windows 95 and the test page was almost all text as well as I recall.

The windows logo was usually in color.

You can get lobsters right now for something like $4 a pound or less.

So for $100 I could have given you a mini-clambake for two with beer not just two whole steamed lobsters.  She should have stayed at a holiday inn express.

Sticky Stuff (no pun intended) / Re: Cocktail Recipies

had a Coconut Cloud Martini on Maui, it was very nice.

Involves Cream of Coconut, White Rum, Malibu Coconut Rum and Stoli Vanilla vodka.  I tried making it at home using 2 parts white rum, 2 parts malibu to 1 part vodka, 1 part cream of coconut ratio.  Came out pretty good.

That's funny.  I saw them perform that live at the end of my senior year in high school.

You win this pissing contest, but I'll get you yet.

Wendy's.  What the fuck?

So apparently when you get your combo meal, you can switch out your medium soda for a small frosty for only $1.10 more!!

A small frosty only costs $1.19, jerkfaces.  Why wouldn't I just ADD the frosty to my combo for $1.19 and enjoy the soda too?

They have coffee frostys on the menu here in RI.  Haven't managed to try one yet but i want

I like the idea, but would have to wait till 2009 to start, or go from this point forward anyway.  I read a lot

Vista is getusedtoable. Pop the analog clock with the second-hand up on the sidebar, and also maybe the CPU Meter, a slide show, the FRAK RSS feed and maybe a radio feed. Sidebar nosehair clippers are Vista's little spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down.

Wait... what was that sound? It sounded like a loud, derisive snort from somewhere out of Minnesota.

First thing I did was turn off the damn sidebar, I only have a 12" monitor I didn't want to spare the real-estate

So far I'm liking, the tablet and touchscreen are pretty cool.  Not sure how really usable they are.  When I get it home tonight I'll put it on the network there and put some photos and music on it.

Performance is pretty good, every now and again it just hesitates, not sure what it's trying to do but twice now it's just become unresponsive for a minute while something goes on.  I'll have to keep an eye on it

Laptop arrived today!

I've been spending most of the morning de-crapifing the thing, then installing the must haves, like firefox, etc.

So far I'm pretty happy, not liking Vista all that much at the moment but I'll give it a shot.

Will post more when I have to chance to really use it

What the hell am I going to do with a five pound Gouda cheese wheel? Ping Ping won it in a raffle last night and we have no idea what to do with it now. What I want to know is what kind of raffle gives away cheese as a prize? Maybe we'll just eBay it.  :|

Start at the top and work your way down I'd say
