Sticky Stuff (no pun intended) / Re: Post your screenshot

Optimized version of Firefox doesn't sound bad...as I've never really been a fan of Mozilla Firefox. I've been using IE until I got Opera, actually.
I sent my laptop to Acer to have them fix something a while ago and had to use some other computer meanwhile. That one had only Safari installed. Which was a hell.

Yup.
I've tried several other browsers. Opera won. ;)

Makes me wish the time when I could use two screens...

My laptop's desktop:

I recently had to recover the whole computer and I've been too lazy to set the desktop and other things the way I want them to be. :|

I think I'm going to kill you last.

Oh, groovy. I was already afraid of the power that will be unleashed when the cork  is removed from the fork.

Ooh, hello, yes.
Don't you dare to beat me, referral-wise.

Of course it was. :-o

It was my secret!

I wonder how many people answered the question with "yes"...

Don't be coy.  BizB asked you a question.  And I want to know the answer too.

So I'm going to ask you again.  Where did you post your referral link to get so many referrals?

Given the sheer volume of the onslaught of spammers we've had around here lately, I think the answer is relevant.

And this question will not be asked of you a third time.

As I've said, I didn't post the link anywhere. There's really some sort of misleading option when you register.

Did someone refer you to this site?

When I registered I answered that question with "No", just to be told that that user doesn't exist and that I should fill in another name.
And well, I changed my username to "No" and apparently 22 other people were just as dumb as I was and answered that thingy with "No", too.

Ta-da.

Like....Frankfurter [pretty odd for someone who isn't from Frankfurt, actually]?

Haven't had such a name before. :-o

But some English friend of mine used to call me names. One day he even named me after some Hogan's Heroes character. I was rather lucky he forgot about that nickname in a few hours, though. :P

Nowhere. ;)

I just found some sort of a loophole when I registered.

Oh, and sure, you can call me 'Nein'. I've been given worse names before.

...people.
I'm usually not one to open Newbie-Threads, but here it is...

...I'm Marie. I come from Germany and usually spend a lot of my free time playing computer games, on the internet [mostly on forums. Even though the last board I've really been active on got shut down not long ago, so I ended up board-less - and bored], watching movies or series...just the usual stuff, I suppose. :| I also play guitar and do some digital painting from time to time.
I'm still in what most of you would call high school, majoring in English and math, but I'm close to finishing Year 12 now.
Guess that's it.

Not really. At least, not for me.

Saw that comin'. :P

So what'll you do if all your ex's siblings died in a horrible accident?  :-o

38
I am very proud of all of you.

So... is there any way for me to have similar results, but without eating less, drinking less, exercising or invasive surgery?

'Cause if there is, I'm in!

Just eat the same as you do usually.

And then throw up.

39
You're a grown man, and I'm only 12lbs lighter than you. *depressed*

I know that feeling. :P Some guy I know - my age - used to way just as much as I do. That said, I'm female and he's taller than me.
Anyway, he's gained some weight, I've lost some, so now I'm feeling better. :P

I weigh about 115 lbs now; which I'm rather happy with.

The Producers <3

The best way to get over an ex is to sleep with their siblings.

That depends on the siblings the ex has...

What do you mean by uncomfortable moments?

Like...when people don't really know what to answer? I suppose.

I don't know, you are the one always talking about being comfortable with something. :P

But are you comfortable with just bringing technology/software up in regular conversations? If not, what stops you from doing so?
If you are comfortable, is there any particular reason why?

I just only mention it when it's apt.

Saves me possible un-comfortable moments and isn't that much of a problem with me. ;)

Talking about software works perfectly fine as long as the non-tech people need help with that software. :P

Another 15 percent said it is a Scottish musical instrument

Hey, these people might be onto something...

They just need to find out how to make tartan-haggis. :|

Right, perhaps not.

I, however, only have problems with authorities when they abuse their authority. :P *
Which apparently was the case in your case.

EDIT:

* Wait...I guess no one likes that...

Wow.

Understandable that you got a lawyer in that case. Would've done the same, especially since I can't see how you did anything wrong after wrecking the truck. I would've done the exact same thing, I suppose.

Seems like police officers have been transforming into assholes for some time now everywhere.
The thing that happened to my family wasn't half as dramatic, I guess. Just slightly drunk driving on a totally empty road at night. The driver was 0.1 per mil over the amount that is allowed. Was caught by police officers who picked random people [or in that case, we were the only people that were actually there]. So...actually just bad luck.

They refused to drive us home or at least get our car that was in the middle of the road [a road with no lights - so the next car would have most likely run into it] out of the way or anything. But still they emphasized that 'they only want to help us'.

My knowledge of sleepover rituals is lacking.

To the tune of totally.

Likewise. :|

I wiki'd it, though...

Quote from: wikipedia
One participant lies flat on the floor, and then the others space themselves around him or her, each placing their fingers underneath his or her body. The person closest to the head commonly begins by saying "Once the roads were icy and cold", which the others repeat; then "A woman lost control of her steering wheel" is spoken and repeated back. Finally the last sentence "When they found her she was light as a feather, stiff as a board" is said and the phrase is chanted by the others repeat. Some people report[1] that the apparent weight of the person lifted seems lower than expected or that the person becomes completely weightless.

 :-o

Are the girls trying to transform Samantha back by doing the exact opposite thing they did before in that game, which is...putting fingers on her instead of underneath her?

Did the girls butter the feather to transform it back?

Even though I don't know what has happened to you... that is pretty groovy.
Seems like having a lawyer sort things out is not as bad as I thought.
Me and my family were thinking about getting one when my father was up for a revoked license for one month, 4 points on the license and a fine of 500 Euro. Thinking back now...we probably should've asked a lawyer.  :|
