I can't decide if, without a beard, I look like the world's fattest 12-year-old or a big, fat lesbian.

Dammit, now you've got my wondering the same things. I guess I'll have to re-watch it but this time with the sound on.

So, I get that pie I asked for after all.  *rimshot*

Yeah, you can only pick one unless you're a necrophiliac. In that case, this is probably your idea of a dream date.

See, it's comments like that one there that make you my favourite.

Shelley, you don't have to do the second thing on his list.

NO FAAAAAAAAAAAAIR!  You never let me have any fun!  I'm gonna go live with Dad; he doesn't make me go to bed early or anything like you do!

We can be real good friends, Shelley, but there are a few requirements.

1) Stop using colors.

b) Show me your tits.

7) Bake me a pie.  Preferably coconut custard.

Just thought we should clear that up.

Jesus, that same FilmSchoolRejects article screwed me again.  I should have known better than to watch an Uwe Boll film, no matter who said it was good.

One of the many places I applied at actually called me today.  It's a grocery store bakery, but beggars can't be choosers.  It'll feel nice to finally contribute to the household a bit, and have some cash left over to fuel my DVD addiction.

Have you tried working with a slavetrader for a while? When the old factory I worked at shut down and we all got laid off, I went and did work for a temp agency going all over the place fixing other people's computer goofs. Some of the short term contracts paid pretty well, but then there were always the times in between getting contracts that was the pain.

I'll give it a shot after I have my A+ cert.  I feel dumb walking into a slavetrader's office without that piece of paper that says, "See?  Seeeee?"

I can't find a workplace, the way things are going.  Everywhere I've applied is in the middle of a hiring freeze.

Right now I'm hooked on Lost and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Strange Swedish vampire flick.  If you remove the vampire elements, it's just a coming-of-age film.  Lots of cool shots and dialogue.  I'd watch it again.

38. Splinter (*)

FilmSchoolRejects called this the best horror film of 2008.  They steered me wrong.  There were one or two neat scenes, but they weren't enough to make up for the horrible dialogue, acting and plot.

Numbers stations are freaky.  This is strange, too.  I've tried firing up my shortwave since moving here to the Poconos, but I get fuck all reception-wise.

cheap shot and you know it.

That's what makes it great!

Sticky Stuff (no pun intended) / Re: What are you listening to?

Larry Woodside on ErrorFM.

In other news, Coppertone changed the formula for their sunscreen so it's a lot thicker now which is great because that means I can finally use it without looking like I just took one off the chin.

They took Steve Irwin's line of suntan lotions off the market, though.  No protection against deadly rays.

I just took a trigger-style guitar capo I wasn't using, held it upside down and pretended it was a Walther PPK, then skulked around the house humming the 007 theme.

I need to get out more.

34. The Exorcist (*****)

What can I say?  It's a classic.  It creeps me out every single time I watch it.

35. Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist (*)

Lousy dialogue, plot, direction, acting, SFX, score...I could go on.

36. Hot Fuzz (***)

Nothing spectacular, but pretty funny and quotable.

Out of curiosity, what's your problem with Michio Kaku?

He strikes me as being incredibly smug and very much full of himself.

I'm not going to get into how I feel about the book itself or the theist/atheist debate because it makes me want to throw things.  I will, however, say that Dawkins (as well as most popular science authors/television presenters) is incredibly pompous.  I'd like to staple pork chops to Dawkins, Michio Kaku and Bill Nye, then lock them in a room full of rabid bears.
