Yes, and it's pretty damn accurate. Some of the reasons why I quit was because of the way the salesweasels would tell the customer ANYTHING if it meant they'd buy TAP. "Sure, we'll have a tech out to install everything, and train you for six hours and help fix your old laptop and wash your car and if you upgrade to the five year tap, he'll bend over for you." Plus I just got sick of dealing with idiot mouthbreathers who were always trying to fuck over the techs claiming we caused pre-existing conditions, like so:
Customer: "Yeah, I brought my desktop right here and would like just a RAM upgrade done."
Me: "Ok, let me turn it on and make sure it boots up first right here at the front counter and if it checks out ok, we'll get right on that upgrade."
*machine boots up with several POST errors then finally "Operating System Not Found"
Customer: "Uh, YOU FUCKER WHAT DID YOU DO TO IT IT WAS TOTALLY NOT BROKEN WHEN I BROUGHT IT HERE I DEMAND YOU FIX IT NOW FOR FREE OR GIVE ME A NEW COMPUTER WHERE IS YOUR MANAGER ARRRRGH"
