Let's all bitch about the little things that cause us to see red. I'll kick it off with one of my favorites: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=prollyIT'S 'PROBABLY' YOU FUCKSTICKS! Even worse is when I hear some slack-jawed mouthbreather use 'prolly' in real conversation. I will instantly lose any respect I may have had for you once you utter this nonsense. This ranks right up there with: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=sammich'Sammich.' You're not four goddamn years old, it's not cute, stop saying this. Oh yeah, and stinky janitors. Take a fucking shower already.

I know, I know..."It's not just the ones in Texas!" :iceburn: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6143114.htmlPurposing a $10,000 per abortion tax on clinics that perform abortions? A 100% tax on 'violent' video games? Oh, Texas, you card. Locke's other platform promises call for the repeal of all alcoholic beverage laws and a 50 percent "grease tax" on "all food prepared by deep-frying or cooking in any form of oil or grease for human consumption."
Texas, you so crazy!

I predict great things for this thread. Namely, it being deleted.

It has been requested of me via PM that I change my avatar to something 'less adult' because it might get the requester in trouble if work or this person's family happens to see it.
So I'll leave it up to you. Should I change my Avatar to something else or leave it as-is for now?

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/03/31/pope1/index.htmlI know that it's all the rage to die right now, but this is serious. Whoever is the next pope can make a HUGE difference in they Catholics are percieved for the next God knows how many years. Will the next pope be more liberal or do you think he'll stay the course? Also, for some reason, I'm thinking the next pope will be from Italy.

I'm thinking about joining up with WoW and was wondering if anybody here is on it already? If so, what's it like? Is it pretty fun or is it frustrating? The graphics look great, and there seems to be a lot of cool options and scenarios. What's the deal? Is it worth the fee?

I'm needing to build a new machine from gound up as my old one is falling part. The biggest problem I'm having is finding a good case. What I'm looking for is something that offers front USB and Firewire ports while not costing more that $80. That's the hard part. I don't need fancy temperature displays (in fact, I find those vey ugly) or flashing neon light kits or other nonsense. What can any of you reccomend to me? It doesn't need to come with a power supply and it will wind up housing a AMD 64 mobo. Here's what I need at least: Front USB and Firewire port - any number. At least four 5 1/4 inch bays. At least three 3 1/2 inch bays. Won't put me in the poor house. [/list:u]
I don't care about case material. It can be cheap plastic or Sherman Tank Iron. I've hit NewEgg and TigerDirect and haven't found anything yet.

http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2005/01/20/1106110881621.html?oneclick=trueCyric on a stick, this is getting embarrassing. Can you nutcases please stop looking for gayness in every fucking thing on TV? IT'S A CARTOON FOR CHILDREN (and xolik) AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GAY OR STRAIGHT! He's a sponge, ferfucksake. I'm getting sick and tired of retarded 'Christians' pulling this type of idiocy and contributing the stereotype of paranoid, homophobe, inbred hicks. Some simple hints for the fundies: Spongebob is a sponge. He is neither gay nor straight. He's yellow and soaks up water.
Stupid Sexy Flanders does not promote Satanism. It's make believe and none of the 'spells' you see on screen or read about work. If you can't raise you kids to tell the difference between fantasy and reality and they chug down a 'potion' they made by mixing Drano with Ajax, then it's probably for the best as we don't need more idiots in this world anyways.
Tinky-Winky is not gay. I have no idea what the hell he's supposed to be other than he's big, purple and carries a bag. If anything, he's a cross-dresser, but so was J. Edgar Hoover and I don't see you bitching about him. [/list:u]
What Spongebob is, however, is friendly to everybody, helpful to all who need it, and a damn hard worker. Sounds like some damn fine values to raise you kid by.
I don't know where they got this idea from in the first place....

As 2004 starts to come to an end, I'm finding myself thinking about what to make for my new year's resolution(s). Are you thinking about making any for 2005? So far the only thing I've got is to get back in shape. I've kind of let myself go a bit.

Me first. I'm pissed off that a whole load of states decided to screw me out of marriage rights yet again. And that Dreier didn't get kicked out of the House. I'm pissed that the 3 strikes law in CA is about to be gutted. I'm also ticked that Badnarik didn't even register a blip on the map. My boyfriend is pissed off that Kerry appears to be losing. Geeze, I've never heard him use that much profanity before! Yikes!

I'm really nervous about this, too. Have any of you taken this Microsoft exam yet? If so, was it really hard? My boss gave me the book and all of three weeks to "Read it, learn it and love it." No training classes, just book learning. He wants me to take and pass a test a month to get my MCwhatever updated for 2003. Any advice?

So I could get a hat like this guy. I don't care what they say. That's NOT an elephant. Going for the gay vote, I guess.

One of the best things in life it taking a failed hard drive out back and playing smashy-smashy with it against the pavement. There is just something so satisfying about seeing all those shiny platters breaking into a thousand little pieces. "You have failed me for the last time! ARRRGH!" **smash** What do you get to break apart at your jobs? I used to smash monitors like crazy back at The Pit. *sigh* Those were fun times....

I saved up all of 420 loot points and went and bought the wrong thing. I bought a glow instead of a color. No big deal, I'll just click on remove and pick the right thing instead. I got a lovely message stating my sale was complete and lo and behold, no color change and now I'm out 400 loot. When you click to remove something, is it supposed to credit your loot back or not?
