1.  Pirate Latitudes by Michael Crichton
2.  Glass by Ellen Hopkins
3.  Empire by Orson Scott Card
4.  The Gunslinger by Stephen King
5.  The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
6.  The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

I gave up on Anathem.  I was on disk 3 and nothing happened.  I couldn't stomach another 25 disks of it.  So I moved on.

Now:  Cell by Stephen King

PS. In Cell, something happened immediately.  I'm on disk 3 and things are still happening.  I like it much better.

I really enjoyed "Cell".  From beginning to end.  Couldn't put it down.  I blew through that one in a very short time.

Is that the one that became a movie with Jennifer Lopez in it?

I loved Cell by Stephen King.  Demo's right, it kept my attention the whole way through.  And right before it ended, I was wondering what ending would I actually enjoy more.  Well, it would seem I got exactly what I wanted.  Feels a bit like a cop out by Stephen King, but I still liked it.  Oh also...it had a bit of a The Stand feel to it...which I loved.

Mmm hard to guess what I will accomplish this year. Let's say 15 for now.
So far I've read

-The kite runner
- Illias
- Olympos
- Enders game

Yesterday I started in 'Speaker for the dead  (enders game 2)

Guess I'll make the 15 easily!

Now:  Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

I liked Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz.  But one thing bothered me sometimes.  It was written in the first person and he took alot of time to tell you why he didn't do certain things at the time.  He'd be in the middle of an intense situation and all of a sudden be speaking very calmly (and for a long time) about why he didn't take certain courses of action.  It was as if Koontz wrote the book and then when reading it over he said to himself "people are going to say, why didn't you just call the police?..so I better explain why here".  It was a little distracting.  Other than that, I liked it very much.  The characters were likable as was the story.
