Any Reccomendations?
« on: August 25, 2003, 12:39:15 PM »

I'm looking into buying a new digital camera. My current one sucks, and has been dropped too many times (Not by me). I currently have an HP Photosmart 215 which I believe is 1.3 megapixel.

I've so far found this one for a good price, and with a decent amount of features. I know, it's refurbished, but I'm a risk taker.

I'm looking for something that has decent zoom capabilities, at least 3+ megapixel, and doesn't have a ludacris delay when you press the button to actually take a picture.

Wish I could help, but the most expensive camera I've ever bought was $10.

If you are looking for quality photo's avoid digital, most likely you can't afford or wouldn't want to pay for digital quality. For $149.00 you can get a decent 35mm SLR. But if you are really just wanting a simple digital that you can easily put the phot's onto your pc, then digital is cool.

I ordered that camera from the website not too long after I first posted this, and here I am about two weeks later and I don't think they have even shipped the damn thing out of their store/closet/whatever. For 185 dollars for the camera, 20 dollars shipping and handling (for shipping it from New York City to New Jersey, mind you) and another 40 dollars for a warentee, I would expect it to be here in about three days.

This goes to show you, just do a little research on the place before you buy from them.

I had someone call them for me about it, they said they processed the order that day and I would be issued a tracking number later that day or the next day. That came and went and still nothing. I sent them an email and still have yet to get a reply. Then again I sent them the email at about 2:30PM on Friday, so they might just not bother to run their business after they get in the door at 11am for business.

My stepmom ordered a pair of slippers as a Christmas present in November.  She's still waiting for them.
