Like 30 bucks. I tend to loose them, scratch them, etc. They never last more than a year so there's no point for me to buy the expensive brands. Plus, I like the idea of changing styles every year.

$70.  Which is my absolute upper limit.  I also tend to scratch/lose/break sunglasses, but I really hate the ultra-cheap sunglasses available at most gas stations, so I tend to pay a bit more for higher quality shades.

I think both pairs I have now were found.  I don't wear sunglasses often because I don't see well with them and my contacts.  I was thinking about getting a pair of prescription sunglasses.  Those would be alot.  I'm guessing just as much as my regular glasses.  I haven't done it yet because what if I drop 300 bucks on them and I still don't like wearing them?

When I got out of basic training at the airport waiting to catch a plane home, I bought a pair of Oakleys for $150 (1984 money).  I left them on the airplane.

Now, I buy $9.99 or less shades because I usually forget to take them off before I go kiteboarding.  Somewhere at the bottom of Lake Erie, there's a little collection of my sun glasses... mocking me.

Mine came out to about $320. They're perscription JPGs with blue tinted lenses. Pretty cool looking!

I got sick of the crappy sunglasses not working all that well so I shelled out about $170 for some oakleys 3 years ago.  I'm happy with them.  Plus I tend to take better care of them than the $30 glasses I used to buy and break constantly.
