How many do you drink at a wedding?

Uh....research.   Just curious, really.  Enrique thinks the average is lower than I do.

Let's say you were limited to beer and wine.  How many would you drink between 6 and 11 pm on a Saturday?

Easily ten or more. I tend to make a fool of myself at weddings, once whatever required duties are done.

That depends on the mood, if it is a good party with dancing and stuff then around ten but not more.

Like Biz and Socrates about one an hour would be my most likely consumption.  But you have to factor in the people who don't drink at all also.

Put it on the invitation with the R.S.V.P. that they have to tell you how much and what they are going to drink.   :-D

Maybe I'll put "BYOB" on the invitation.  Then when they get there I'll say I was only kidding, of course!  But I'll keep all the beer.

I usually make it a point to have about ten or more, especially when the best man says that everyone should get as drunk as possible.  He's the best man, so he must be pretty important, I figure.

But on a more serious note, yeah, at least ten.

The last wedding I went to I had 2 glasses of champagne and 1 glass of wine.  I was going to have another, but then the centerpiece on our table came crashing down and took out my water.  Somehow that was a deterrant, dunno why.  I try not to drink too much at weddings, it gets embarrassing.  There was a hopelessly drunk guy at the last wedding I went to and everyone was watching him as though he was a show on TV.  Also, my parents were there, so that would have been weird.  The wedding I went to before that had no alcohol at all.  It was weird.

They are pretty religious, but I think there was no alcohol because either it was too expensive an option, or the church would not allow it (the ceremony and reception were in the same place, 2 different rooms).  However, there was a small chocolate fountain, so that was kind of awesome.
